I just bought 512MB DDR RAM for my machine (it can take up to 2GB, PC2100,
266MHz RAM and I checked it would work with it).

Problem is, I boot up and get:

    CRC error - System Halted

    It then doesn't boot.

However, if I replace the 512MB RAM with the 256MB (alone) the system came
with, it boots up EVERY time.

Now, I've tried 3 (yes 3) different lots of 512MB memory with this machine
and none have worked... In fact, 2 have died trying to work this out...

    Any ideas?

    Paul
