    No matter if it is an upgrade or fresh install, Erik, I usually find
    that removing the old config files help in getting it working. This
    especially seems true if I am having problems. The K3b installed by
    8.2 worked ok here, but I did it fresh, I didn't bring back any old
    config files.

    You say when you click "finish" it reports not being able to find the
    files? There is one point in the setup where it locates any files you
    have installed that it uses, does it see cdrecord and cdrdao there?
