    Just came from another session of installing SuSE8.2 on a friend's computer
    (it's interesting how many people are really interested in trying it out
    lately). Ran into a bit of a problem though. While I was explaining and
    demonstrating how to mount, unmount and eject a CDROM using KDE, it failed.
    A message pops up complaining that the device is busy and it will not umount
    it.

    What I've checked;
      - all applications that may be accessing the mount point are exited.
      - the check box for Konqeror performance (where it keeps Konq
         preloaded) is unchecked.

    If you wait 5 mins or so without doing anything, you eventually can unount and
    eject the CDROM. It would seem that whatever is hanging on to the mount
    point eventually lets go. Or, I can do a umount -l /media/cdrecorder and
    force the issue. Neither option is really acceptable to a newbie user.

    Any ideas or suggestions for what to look for?

    C.
