Hello list.
I have some questions I hope that someone can answer. I will set up the
questions and attempt to make this short. I have installed a second CD
drive which happens to be a Philips 4000 series CDRW. I had
experimented with scsi emulation so I could play with the CD burning
programs available in KDE. After the burning application saw both
drives I attempted to turn scsi emulation off and get everything back
to square one. Now when I use any multimedia CD player in KDE the
default drive is the Philips 4000 series drive and not my source Acer
32x. The Acer is connected to the sound card btw. Not sure what happen
I'm sure I missed something along the way. Hardware info shows the
cdroms as hdc (Acer) and hdd (Philips) as they should be do to the
physical connection to the mobo. My questions are where does KDE or the
kernel get the default cdrom drive info and can it be changed back? I
hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
Mark
