    See /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager
    Look for DISPLAYMANAGER_ROOT_LOGIN_REMOTE="yes"

    If you are using kdm, try /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
    Look for line 213 AllowRootLogin=true to allow root logins.
