I have posted questions to this list before and everybody has been very
helpful, so I am posting again.
I have recently been having problems with my USB (since march), I get these
    sort of errors:

and my flash drive is trying to start, but keeps getting the following:

sdb, sdc, sdd and sde are the 4 slots on my card. two of them had cards in
them...... any ideas why they are not being picked up?

I am also getting these sort of errors:

I have been having problems with USB full stop, sometimes it is 'enabled' i.e.
the lights on my hub are bright and the stuff works and sometimes the lights
are dim and it needs to be rebooted for the lights to come back on bright
agfain. I know that sounds simple, but that is what happens. I don't know if
it is linux or the BIOS which is the problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 8100
with 2 USB ports one of which is attached to a 7 port USB hub- could this be
the problem? It is a powered hub.

thanks in advance for your help and advice.
