    What OS did you have on it before, I had a similar problem when I upgraded my
    Presario from FreeBSD to SuSE Linux 8.0, for some reason SuSE install doesnt
    like UFS partitioned drives, if this is your problem reformat it as a DOS
    disk first then try your install.
