I was using Kmail 1.5.1, but because of your remark I just upgraded to 1.5.3
from the SuSE server. I also upgraded to kdenetworks 3.1.3 and I was already
using KDE 3.1.3 since a couple of days.
    But alas, no improvement.

    Amazing !!!
Changing font for printing does print the new selected font, but still in the
same (non selected) too-large size, i.e. 14 instead of the selected 6.

    Done.
What happens is : just the same -undesired- large print output. ;-(((

By-the-way, what is even more puzzling is that I have a similar installation
on another machine, where I do NOT have this problem.
I have extensively searched for differences, but could not locate any.

Again, it seems to me that the font size is overruled somewhere, but where ?
Oh, just for information, I'm using LPRng (also on the correct performing
machine) and no, I cannot change to CUPS because of other requirements in my
    infrastructure.

Any additional suggestions are highly appreciated.
