Hello.
Not sure what to sugest to help, but I have seen very slow browsing on
XP clients connected to Windows NT4 servers, too. Perhaps the problem
is with the XP clients, and not the SMB servers.

I've configured 8.2 as samba file server. It works ok most of the
times...If I browse through
a folder that has a lot of photos with XP client, first time it's ok,
but after few hours
the same procedure takes minutes just to open a folder, and it really
drags...Any ideas?
