    Hi,

I have a 7000 card in my machine and it works just
    fine.

       - you MUST configure the array(s) BEFORE installing
         ANY os on the drives

       - once configured you will NOT be able to add extra
drives since then you will need to re-configure
your array(s) which essentially will destroy all
         data on your drives.

If you just want to add a mirror or new array you can
do so with no data loss.

    Babu
