    Herman,

How do I know when the Raid 1+0 build process is done? If I break a
mirror and rebuild it I get a percentage completion indicator via 3dmd.

When I built the Raid 1+0 from scratch, 3dmd immediately showed the unit
operational. i.e. It was not degraded from what I could tell from the
    very first bootup.

I have lost my testing oppurtunity for a week or two.

When I get the hardware back, I will try it again based on what you
said. In particular I will let the array sit overnight before I start
    any performance tests.

    Thanks
    Greg
