Hello all. I want to try and install Suse 8.2 on the P4C800 motherboard
using IDE RAID 1 on the promise controller. Anybody got any experience
in doing so?
Would it be feasible to make the RAID 1 array first and, then install
suse 8.2 or should install linux in one disk and then mirror it?
What would be the best way to go about this?
I presume that I would have to load the linux Promise raid driver in the
beginning of the installation. Is it included in the 8.2 kernel or would
I have to use the one provided at the Asus site (but compiled for
8.1)Any special commands to pass to the kernel for a HT P4 ?
Any installation tips and recommendations welcome
