Unless you absolutely want to keep them...no. If you have a cd burner
you could just burn them to cd in case you have to reinstall or
something else drastic like that. But other then that they just take up
space.

Out of sheer paranoia I usually run mk_initrd, ldconfig and SuSEconfig
manually so that I know everything is good. But that's just me.
