[SLE] Confab not working

    We are using Suse Linux version 8.1 and we have a crontab set up -
    recently the crontab stopped running and without rebooting the machine I
    want to know a) what could have happened and b) how I can get the cron
    to start working again? I have restarted the cron deamon without any
    effect, restarted the networking side of the machines i.e interfaces,
    restarted inetd.....
