    $HOME/evolution/Calendar/calendar.ics

    but the data is here:
    /home/illustre/evolution/local/Calendar

    You need to tell evolution where the data is. It must be a setting in the
    preferances somewhere, but since I don't use evolution I can't say exactly
    where
