Hello.
When installing an HP Deskjet 500 printer (Suse 8.2 and CUPS), Yast2 will
select a printer driver (hpijs) which does not work with the Deskjet 500.
Do not bother, carry on with the installation, It is easy to get things
working later :
- Enter in the CUPS web administration tool with a web browser at
http://localhost:631.
- Select admin/manage printers/modify printer/....
..../modele/pilot
- Instead of the preselected line "HP Deskjet 500, Foomatic + hpijs"
select the line "HP Deskjet 500, Foomatic + djet500"
There are several others pilots proposed which might be better than djet500,
but this one works and I have not investigated further.
