    Well

    Is complicated I only can achieve to get connection to MSN network being
    root !!!!!

    But that is dangerous, then meanwhile I am promoting use of yahoo.

    Well the partial Solution

    I am using amsn (alvaro messenger) looks like MSN of M$, but when I am
    trying to use it
    as 'myuser' the program does not run because of Authorization
    problems

    To be solved with xauth, but I have not been able to get the solution.

    Meanwhile i use RedHat to conect with messenger network

    You may find amsn in

    http://amsn.sourceforge.net/

    This is the instructions for install, works fine in root (specially if you
    have amsn 0.82 installed)
    But when you try to use another user, get the xauth problems, if somebody
    get solved please
    tellme

    Installation

    Download amsn-0_xx.tar.gz

    $ tar xvzf amsn-0_xx.tar.gz

    $ cd msn

    $ ./amsn
    or
    $ wish amsn

    If command wish is not found, you need to install tcl/tk packages (tcl &
    tk).

    I don't know about gaim, but may be there is an option to use with
    configure, like with-ssl or similar.
    Also, openssl-devel must be installed.
