Thanks for the advice. Amsn works fine, but seems to be a one-protocol
thing. The beauty of gaim is that you use one client for all protocols:
msn, jabber, icq, aim, etc ...

There must be a way of getting gaim to work. It's probably something
with the SSL lbraries.
