I guess that explains why I haven't been able to get some players to
work properly. I thought I just had the sound card set up incorrectly. I
didn't do any troubleshooting but I ran into the choppy sound using Juk.
(I'm only assuming that it uses alsa.) I am running SuSE Linux 9.0 pro
and used upgrade to go there from 8.2. FWIW, Real Player 8 sounds great
so I'm assuming that it does not use alsa. If I can provide any further
info, let me know. (However, I'm a Linux newbie.)
