[SLE] ssh connect problem

I have openssh installed on new suse 9.0. I can not ssh into the box with
my username. i put in login name an password for the user i have
creatived on linux machine an it want connect. anyone else seen this
problem an know the fix for it.

  ssh worked out of box on past version with no setup at all.
