seems like it's a HCL issue to me. Are you sure ALL the hardware is
compatible? I wouldn't use something that old to load suse version
9...but that's just me. Hardware that old doesn't do it justice. For
the older stuff I just don't upgrade! I still have some sites running
on suse 7.1!
If it works, don't fix it!
