    Presumably you have to do "/etc/init.d/network start" to get it up. YaST
    --> System --> Runlevel Editor and check that network is enabled. Also
    check the contents of /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0, YaST should
    have set it up, here is mine -----
    BOOTPROTO='static'
    BROADCAST='192.168.10.255'
    IPADDR='192.168.10.1'
    MTU=''
    NETMASK='255.255.255.0'
    NETWORK='192.168.10.0'
    REMOTE_IPADDR=''
    STARTMODE='onboot'
    UNIQUE='lgGW.IQxIdIhhuH7'
