    There are a few other options. He can look for a plugin called xmms-cdread.
    That should do what he wants.
             KsCD will be able to do digital playback when kde3.2 is released according
    to feature plan. It might(*) already work in kde 3.2 beta1. If he is willing
    to risk his system for cd-playback, that might also be an option.

    (*) Please notice that I said might.
