    Hello everyone:
            A little while ago I asked if there was a program I could run under Linux
    that would act like M$N Messenger. A number of you responded with
    suggestions for:

                    GAIM,

                    Kopete

                    and AMSN

            Well, I did download GAIM but it wanted a large number of additional
    libraries before it would work and I really can't remember what happened with
    Kopete. AMSN, however, works properly and allows me to maintain my M$N
    Messenger contact list while 'chatting' under Linux. I found AMSN really
    easy to install and use as it really is like Messenger.
            So, thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
