    I am not sure what is causing your error,
    or even when it shows up.

    Are you doing an install off a SuSE Cd (or DVD) ???

    In what directory is "MD5SUM"
    Did you create the list ???

    because when I do (as root)
    "locate MD5SUM" (without the quotes)
    it indicates no such file on my 8.1 box.

    Also I can find "man md5sum" but not "man md5sums"
    Is the "s" at the end of "md5sums" a typo ???
