[SLE] Video capture and editing on SuSE?

My brother is into level design for a bunch of games (Doom, Quake III, etc.) and recently started making videos of action inside these games.
He's been using video capture and editing tools on his Windows machine, but isn't really happy with the shareware applications he's found. I'm curious, are there video capture and editing tools that work with SuSE that a Windows user could migrate to easily? He's got an ATI Radeon 9600 if that makes any difference.
I don't know anything about video editing, so my Google browsing wasn't very fruitful. ;)
