Search for a file named "ARCHIVES.gz" on the ftp server. The DVD has it,
so I assume the ftp server has it as well on the root of each distro
directory tree. It contains the full list of files on the dvds.

Mmm, I have just discovered, looking for this info, a bug in the "pin"
program: I have two such archives on disk, one for suse 8.1, the other for
    8.2.
