    Have you even considered that the drive could have gone bad? If all
    those programs produce the same result or worse, it seems to me you are
    looking in the wrong place for your problem! Check the drive on
    another system or try another drive on your system. Check your cable
    on your drive. Look at the buffer fill you mentioned, 4%? and the 6
    buffer underruns? Unless you are trying to compile or some other
    cpu/drive intensive operation while trying to write, those aren't good.
    You are not trying to copy from CD to CDRW are you? Not a good idea on
    an IDE chain.
