[SLE] Gnome

I'm using SuSE 9.0 and KDE.
I want to try Gnome and at the Log-in screen I tick "Gnome" but no Gnome comes
up. The KDE splash screen appears. (AFAICT I have installed all the relevant
Gnome files from the disk).
Anybody an idea how I can fix this or what to check?
