I finally got some sound out of Xine playing a DVD. In the audio menu,
I unchecked "a52_pass_through", and changed the
"audio driver to use" to AUTO from ALSA. Then I restarted Xine, and
voila, sound. Changed back to ALSA but left a52_pass_through unchecked,
and it works fine now. I googled all afternoon attempting to solve this
problem, and saw no mention of this - what is a52_pass_through?
