    Hi all,

I faced something strange while configuring several network cards on a
    single server running Suse SLES8.

The server have several cards linked with different subnets,
I want to assign them different IPs (of course) .. AND also DIFFERENT
    HOSTNAMES!

    My /etc/hosts should contains:
    <ip1> hostname1
    <ip2> hostname2
    <ip3> hostname3

But if I use Yast to configure my cards. (or even use it to modify the
    config of one card),
Yast modify the /etc/hosts that way:
    <ip1> hostname1
    <ip2> hostname1
    <ip3> hostname1

Which is not what I want!!! (it implies some issues with some application
    running on the server)

Has anyone ever experience that issue and found a solution?
Is that a BUG from Yast, or a missunderstanding from me?
Would you advise me not to use Yast?

thanks in advance for your answers.

    Best regards,
    Damien.
