[SLE] Display crashes on shutdown

Hello All,
On reboot or shutdown my display becomes un-readable with random lines
(garbage) throughout the entire screen. I have no other problems with the
display any other time, except during reboot or shutdown. If any one can
please shed some light into a possible fix it would be greatly appreciated.
