I have an hp 6270 usb scanner. sane-find-scanner detects it and reports it
to be at libusb:002:002. But then scanimage -L, which is supposed to tell
me about it, fails to find it. xscanimage also fails.
Yast is no help, insisting on installing it as /dev/usbscanner and then
failing to find it.
It works fine: I start it with a script that reads
xscanimage hp:libusb:002:002 $*
but I ought to be able to set it up right and I can't figure out from the
documentation how to do it. BTW the listing in /etc/sane.d/hp.conf for it
is correct so that isn't my problem.
Would appreciate any help, thanks, Henry Harpending
