    Hi Martin,

    You can find out more about LaTex at their home page:

       http://www.latex-project.org/

    Many "rpms" have a home page.
    Google is your friend.

    On my SuSE 8.1 box, when I did: "pin latex"
    i got back:

    pin 0.26 - package info for latex
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    *** no rpm named latex installed
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
     maybe just a typo? what about this:

        te_latex-beta.20020207-231

     maybe better restart with another option? greping anyway ...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    *** zgrep latex /usr/share/pin/ARCHIVES.gz
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    ---> ./CD3/suse/i586/te_latex-beta.20020207-231.i586.rpm
    ---> ./CD3/suse/noarch/latex-ucs-20020510-39.noarch.rpm
    ---> ./CD7/suse/src/latex-ucs-20020510-39.src.rpm

    I don't have LaTex installed, so I can't answe your
    other question.

    Hope this helps,
