    Hi,

My son configured something on the Windows-XP partition of my laptop and ... of
course the Grub bootloader disappeared. With my old experience with Yast1 (till
SuSE-7.3) I thought it would be fast and easy to restore the bootloader. I
found the bootloader configuration section. All the correct sections were
present and Linux was default. Everything looked allright ==> reboot ==> again
direct boot too Winjunk. I tried again, lost my time in Yast2 ==> reboot ==>
again Winjunk. Finally, at the third trial I managed to restore Grub. Don't ask
    me how.

I already said it but I don't like Yast2. It is beautiful of course and
Windows-addict don't feel lost. Yast1 was a little primitive but it was obvious
and fast to restore LiLO. It was still faster to type '/sbin/lilo'.

Now is it possible to do the same thing with Grub. Something like '/sbin/grub'
and not loose what is left of our life in Yast2?

To be frank. The framebuffer image of the Grub bootloader is beautiful. Of
course, you must not forget to hit <F2> to see what is happening and to set
default runlevel as three. Fortunately, it can be done without loosing your
    time in Yast2.
