    Hi Paul

Although the SuSE response was less than helpful, it looks to me like this is
not actually a SuSE issue, it looks more like your BIOS from your
    description.

Obviously, your BIOS is ignoring the SuSE cd, because you go straight to
W2000, although it is set to [Floppy, CDROM, HD0]. Hence, I think your RAID
controller has inserted itself after the floppy, but before the CD, and you
are not booting your RAID controller from HD0 accrding to the PC BIOS, but
from the RAID controller BIOS in the boot order position it has inserted
    itself at.

Can you boot a known bootable CD with your present setup? Is there any
evidence of the CD booting? Do you get a boot screen with a menu, of which
the first item is 'Boot from Hard Drive' and the second is 'Installation'?

Or with the floppy, you could try holding the shift key while it boots - this
works on CD's which get stuck during booting.

    HTH
