I asked why SuSE makes compiling simple C-code like xhell.c
using Motif so difficult. Rafael Herrera answered (thanks!)

I've installed all Motif related packages including these.
But why does YaST2 not install these?
Why is there no help to find the way in the myriad of
devel packages and gcc options?
Why does gcc not find header and lib files without options
-I/usr/X11R6/include/ -L/usr/X11R6/lib/
There should be some config or env setting to ease compiling
and SuSE should have set it.
