I just want to add to Mr. Karlsson's post - I, too use the Linuxant
driverloader for my Thinkpad X31. My laptop has the built-in IBM
802.11a/b/g/ card (Atheros) and driverloader works perfectly for me. The
only issue I've seen with the laptop so far is that on two
non-consecutive occasions the system has slowed down so as to be
unusable until rebooted. However, I didn't think to run top until the
incident was over, so I have no idea why. The wireless connectivity
seems to be really good.
