I have a Canon i950 USB printer on my SLP 9.0 i388 systems that I have been
printing with using turboprint for months. Since my update, I have not been
able to print. The system doesn't even see /dev/usb/lp0 until I go to
YaST->Hardware->Printers and then it finds it in a device probe. A hardware
scan via YaST->Hardware->Hardware Information doesn't even see it until I
bring up the YaST printer dialog.
Once recognized I still cannot print. It looks like it loads the USBLP module
and then looks at the parallell port! My system is dual-booted with MaxiTrash
98 and Win98 is able to print to it fine.
Anyone have a similar problem or a fix? Thanks.
