    Hi all.

On a new box I decided I want to turn on the bytecode interpreter for FT2
to enable Apple's TrueType hinting.... I see I want it. (Plus I have a Mac
    now)

My question is not about the method of grabbing source from Freetype and
make/ make install from scratch, rather rebuilding the existing rpm in Suse 9.
It entails editing a spec file, and rebuilding it. Sounds simple enough.

    I'm doing the following:

    a) Install source rpm for FreeType2  from the Suse 9 CD.
    b) Drop to the source rpm's spec file directory
    c) Edit 1 line in freetype2.spec: "%patch100.." ie: not a remark line
..Now what? The URL below seems Suse 7 specific and process ie using -ba
params for the rpm won't work
    * How do I rebuild the rpm...?
.....I see the benefit of having this rpm fixed.

    My info is from here:
