      Yeah, well ... I've got the hauppauge WinTV as well. What I have to do, is
    I have to:

    # modprobe bttv

      Manually, for the driver to install. I also have a webcam, which for this
    reason is always the first video device. Therefore, the hauppauge wintv card
    is /dev/video1.
