Thanx for your time and the reply. Thanx to all who replied. I just
rebooted to try a (ctl-alt-bksp) during the colorful line screen. I have
three OSs on here Suse Pro, Fedora and XP Pro. I use Acronis boot manager.
Some time ago I decided I didn't like the 800x600 res. of the boot manager
so I changed it to my normal 1024x768, looked better. This last boot I
changed it back on the way to bringing Suse back up and try and fix it. Lo
and behold Suse came up just like I never had a problem. I don't know if
that fixed it or not but that's what happened since my last post. Should
I send it in to "Ripley's Believe it or Not" or what!?

Thanx everyone, this group is great and it's individuals like you that
made it and keep it that way. I'll learn this stuff yet.... :o)
