[SLE] Kinternet will not connect (modem working)

    Hi all,
     
    I am having problems using Kinternet under Suse 9.0 (kernel 2.4.21-199).
    I am using a Conexant HCF modem with the drivers from linuxant.com, and
    it works fine when using "ifup ppp0" and "ifdown ppp0" from the command
    line (as root). But when using Kinternet the connection will not
    connect to smpppd.
     
    Here is the log file for connecting and disconnecting using ifup and
    ifdown as root:

    Any help is appreciated!
