    Actually the xsane plugin maintainer has not updated the plugin yet for
    Gimp 2.0, but I believe one of the Gimp developers did do a fix. He
    did not release it openly though, so as not to overstep into the
    maintainer's area. I believe he will make it available if asked
    though. Apparently it is not a difficult fix to the old one, so either
    contact the guy doing it or maybe someone here would like to help out?

    The Gimp developer is Sven Neumann, I believe. He is on the Gimp mail
    list for those interested.
