I have now since discovered that the partition has become partially
corrupted, the only thing I presume I can do now is attempt to find
something that can either repair it or recover data RAW-wise, I do get
an error when booting into Linux from NTFS-fs Tools that states:
(snipped)"ntfs_read_inode_mount(): $MFT/$DATA attribute not found, $MFT
is corrupt, run chkdsk"
I have attempted to run chkdsk and this has failed stating "there are
one or more unrecoverable errors"
suggestions upon what I should do to prevent total data loss would be
much appreciated.
