Dave Coffin provides dcraw which will convert RAW to PPM/PSD format.
He has also updated rawphoto.c for The GIMP2, available:
http://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/rawphoto.c
instructins are included in rawphoto.c.
