    Hi.

I've installed Suse 9.0 on a compaq/hp TC1000 tablet PC (dual boot with
xp, nfs install from a local mirror using a boot CD).

The boot process hangs in the hotplug - USB section.
I can circumvent this by either disconnecting the (USB) keyboard during
boot (somewhat annoying) or by preloading the module ehci-hcd via
/etc/sysconfig/kernel (as mentioned in a faq somewhere - also note that
I connect an USB 2.0 DVD drive from time to time).
However, when I choose the latter solution, the boot process hangs
BEFORE getting to the hotplug/usb section, during startup of the network
interface (module e100, the network card is not an USB card).
The network interface starts up without a problem when choosing solution
1 ( don't preload the usb module and disconnect the usb keyboard while
    booting).
Also, the problem doesn't occur when booting the rescue system from that
    USB 2.0 drive.

Deleting the network card from the configuration and setting it up
manually is not that much of a hassle, but then DNS resolving setup
    seems impaired.

Is there an explanation and/or an elegant solution (as in staring
everything automatically with everything attached) for this problem? I
think it might be a hotplug problem, but I'm not sure how to tackle this.

    Thanks,

    Klaas
