Hi. About a month ago I upgraded my Radeon 7500LE to nVidia GeForce FX5600
Ultra (ABIT GF FX5600 Ultra Otes). I wanted to have a working tv-out but got
plenty of issues instead.
1) I have a TFT monitor that is connected via DVI. The nvidia driver (version
5336). The graphic card does not recognize the monitor. In XFree log I can
see, that the driver sends signal to VGA out. I had to specify in XF86Config
ConnectedMonitor "DFP".
2) If I connect a tv, the driver recognizes both DVI and TV-out without the
ConnectedMonitor string. But it thinks that tv is the primary device.
Specifying ConnectedMonitor "DFP,TV" had no effect.
3) When connected both TV and DVI the tv resolution is max 640x480. (And, as
the driver thinks TV is the first device, the kde panel and windows are
shrinked to 640x480).
4) When TV and TFT (via DVI) are connected the image on TFT blinks once a
minute.
5) When tv is connected and the monitor is connected via VGA, there is no
problem. TV may be 1024x768, the image on the monitor doesn't blink, VGA is
the first device.
a) Am I the only one who experience such a problem (is that a nvidia driver,
chipset or ABIT's video card issue) ?
b) Can it be solved somehow? Driver update, or installing previous version? (I
think there is no problem in Windows, but I have no possibility to test the
card there).
Greetings, Alex
