Open Yast2 - software install/uninstall. Right now you probably have the
k_athlon installed. Select k_default. Click "check dependancies." Yast2
will moan about k_athlon and k_default conflicting. Choose to delete
k_athlon. This replaces the Athlon kernel with the Intel/generic kernel.
You will probably also have to replace glibc. As far as I know the CDs have
one for i586 and one for i686. Look on the cds, find the one for i586, and
do rpm -Uvh --nodeps --force glibc-x.x.x-i586.rpm
The only other thing which might cause trouble is if the Pentium's BIOS
doesn't support the size of the hard disc, but that's another problem on its
own.
