hi,
i'm running into a problem with an older 8-port cyclades cyclom-y (8Yo)
card under suse 9 and was wondering if anyone else has experienced
anything similar. i've been using this card as a serial console head for
linux and sun servers on redhat 7.1 for 3+ years without any problem. i
was going to upgrade the box to an 800MHz amd and suse 9. the kernel
sees the card and loads the driver fine and i can connect to a port, via
kermit once. when i go to disconnect it fails to close the port and
locks up the kermit session, i have to SIGKILL kermit. after this
connections to any of the ports fail and i'm forced to reboot before i
can communicate with the cyclom.
i've tried this card in 3 different machines (AMD and P4) and i get the
same results with suse 9. any thoughts on this?
